Job Description

We are looking for a driven and patient CNA to become our new Restorative Care Aide (RCA)! The RCA is responsible for providing care to a resident that is designed to strengthen muscles, assist with mobility, promote independence and prevent functional declines. Responsibilities and Purpose Encourage the residents to perform tasks for themselves as appropriate and as assigned by the Staff Nurse and the residents' overall plan of care. Practice good body mechanics while delivering restorative nursing care to prevent injuries to self or to others. Provide good body alignment, positioning devices and contractures padding. Monitor and assist with the performance of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote resident involvement to the highest extent possible. Evaluate and document the residents' progress. Communicate results to the Staff Nurse and seek input and supervision from the Staff Nurse to confirm findings. Report to the Staff Nurse any adverse conditions experienced by the resident during the provision of restorative nursing care including, but not limited to, pain. Desired Experience and Education Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification. Completed additional instruction and training in restorative care procedures with appropriate documentation as evidence of completion. Experience in a Long Term Care environment preferred .
