Job Description:
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - 3:00 PM-11:00 PM Shift Position Summary The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing quality, compassionate care to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The CNA assists with activities of daily living (ADLs), monitors residents' well-being, and helps maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment during the evening shift. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene. Help residents with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment. Assist with feeding and monitor residents' nutritional and fluid intake. Take and record vital signs, weights, and other assigned observations. Report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or mental condition to the supervising nurse promptly. Answer call lights and respond to resident needs in a timely manner. Maintain accurate documentation of care provided. Ensure resident rooms and common areas remain clean, organized, and safe. Assist with evening routines, including preparing residents for bedtime. Promote residents' independence, dignity, privacy, and rights at all times. Follow infection control procedures and all facility safety policies. Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, physicians, and other healthcare team members. Qualifications Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of employment. Current CPR certification (preferred or required by facility). Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition residents safely. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate, dependable, and able to work effectively in a team environment. Previous experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or assisted living is preferred but not always required.
Work Schedule Evening Shift:
3:00 PM-11:00 PM Includes weekends and holidays as scheduled. Overtime may be available based on facility needs. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds with assistance as needed. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift. This description can be tailored for use in a nursing home, rehabilitation center, assisted living facility, or hospital.
Pay:
From $18.00 per hour
