Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality. Provide specialized care for patients with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory impairments through compassionate engagement and tailored care strategies. Collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans for patients in diverse settings such as long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, hospitals—including ICU, trauma centers, pediatric units like PICU—and home care environments. Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures like catheter care and wound management to prevent infection. Assist with patient transfers using safe transfer methods and equipment such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques. Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records and ensure compliance with medical terminology standards. Support emergency response efforts by providing basic life support (BLS) and CPR when necessary. Experience Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program. Experience working with geriatric patients in long-term care or nursing home settings is highly preferred. Prior experience in acute care environments such as ICU, emergency medicine, or Level I/II trauma centers is advantageous. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks to document patient information efficiently. Background working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs is a plus.
