Day Shift Pay Range:
$22.35 - $33.16 per hour The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc. This position is represented by a collective bargaining agreement. What You'll Do As a CNA on our Orthopedic Medical Unit, you'll help patients stay safe, comfortable, and supported throughout their recovery journey. Assist patients with daily care activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, eating, and hydration. Help patients safely move, walk, transfer, and participate in mobility activities that support recovery. Take and record vital signs and other patient information. Monitor patients and promptly communicate changes or concerns to the nursing team. Support treatments and care activities as delegated by a Registered Nurse and within CNA scope of practice. Measure and document fluid intake and output. Stock patient rooms and care areas with supplies needed for patient care. Accurately document patient information in the medical record. Support smooth unit operations by answering phones, processing orders, and assisting with clerical tasks as needed. Create a positive experience for patients and families through compassionate, respectful care. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Oregon Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification upon hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to stay organized and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Nice to Have We understand that great CNAs come from many different backgrounds and experiences. While not required, candidates with at least one year of experience in an acute care or hospital setting may find the transition into our orthopedic medical environment easier and may feel more confident managing multiple patient needs throughout the day.
