Full-time benefits Description PeaceHealth is seeking a Surgical Support Aide - Operating Room for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position (0645-1715) . The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $22.35 - $33.16. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc. This position is represented by a collective bargaining agreement. There may be more than one opening on this posting. Job Summary Responsible for assisting in tasks involving patient care and maintenance of the operating room. The primary focus is to help with set-up and efficient turnover of the operating rooms and caring for the instruments and equipment to be used during the surgical procedure. Essential Functions Assist in pulling instruments and supplies for surgical procedures. Set up equipment for surgical procedure. Order and restock inventory and supplies for department. Stock and put supplies away in individual operating rooms. Clean, disinfect, and sterilize equipment. Assists with clean-up and room turnover. Provide assistance with moving and lifting patients. Transport patients. Transport specimens to appropriate area/unit. Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications Education High School Diploma Preferred:

Upon Hire Basic Life Support Skills Well organized, detail oriented and self motivated. (Required) Ability to coordinate activities and work collaboratively with others. (Required) Basic computer/keyboarding skills including MS Office applications. (Required) Understanding of operating room protocols. (Required) Department /Location Specific Notes Oregon West Network:
Six months of patient care experience required . Medical Assistant certification preferred. Oregon CNA required. Working Conditions Lifting Patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without the use of assistive equipment and/or devices (NIOSH). Ability to move around area with occasional sitting. Fine motor skills to be able to grasp and control medical equipment (i.e. stretchers, wheelchairs, etc.). Frequent reaching/ grasping. Occasional bending/ stooping.Push/Pull:
Frequently up to 25 lbs. force. Occasional up to 50 lbs. force. Environmental Conditions Exposure to biohazard, body fluids and airborne particles. Exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals. Time spent on site in medical/hospital setting. Mental/Visual Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted).
