Our goal is to help each resident maintain as much independence as possible while receiving the support, supervision, and personal assistance they need. We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and dedicated CNAs and Personal Care Aides to join our team. Position Summary The CNA / Personal Care Aide is responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living, providing personal care and supervision, promoting resident independence, and helping maintain a safe and comfortable living environment. This position requires someone who is patient, dependable, attentive, and genuinely enjoys caring for others. Team members are expected to treat every resident with dignity, compassion, privacy, and respect. Essential Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene. Assist residents with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation according to their individual needs and care plans. Provide assistance and supervision during meals as needed. Encourage residents to maintain independence and participate in their own care whenever possible. Observe residents for changes in behavior, physical condition, appetite, mobility, or overall well-being and promptly report concerns to the appropriate staff member. Respond promptly and respectfully to resident requests for assistance. Assist with maintaining clean and comfortable resident rooms and common areas. Change bed linens and assist with resident laundry and personal belongings as assigned. Assist with meal preparation, serving, and cleanup as assigned. Encourage resident participation in activities, socialization, and daily routines. Provide companionship and emotional support while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries. Follow individual resident care plans and facility procedures. Complete required documentation accurately and on time. Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality. Follow infection-control, hand-hygiene, sanitation, and safety procedures. Follow emergency procedures and immediately report accidents, incidents, injuries, or safety concerns. Assist with medication-related duties only when appropriately trained, authorized, and permitted under applicable Pennsylvania requirements and facility policy. Work cooperatively with other staff members to ensure continuity and quality of resident care. Attend required staff meetings, orientation, training, and competency evaluations. Perform additional personal care and household duties consistent with training, facility policy, and applicable regulations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. CNA certification is welcomed but is not required for Personal Care Aide applicants unless required for the individual's assigned responsibilities. Previous experience in personal care, assisted living, long-term care, home health, direct care, or a related setting is preferred but not required. CPR and First Aid certification preferred. Must be dependable and able to report to scheduled shifts consistently and on time. Must demonstrate compassion, patience, and respect when working with residents. Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, coworkers, and supervisors. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. Must maintain resident confidentiality and professional boundaries. Must successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings, orientation, and training applicable to the position. Must meet all applicable Pennsylvania requirements for employment in a Personal Care Home. Physical Requirements Applicants must be able to perform the physical responsibilities associated with providing personal care, including standing and walking for extended periods, bending, reaching, assisting residents with mobility, and performing transfers or other physical assistance according to resident needs and established safety procedures.
