Responsibilities As a Home Health Aide, you will: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene Provide mobility assistance, transfers, and positioning using gait belts, Hoyer lifts, or other assistive devices as appropriate Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when needed Monitor and report changes in clients' physical or emotional condition to the supervising nurse Measure and document vital signs when assigned and within the scope of practice Assist with medication reminders in accordance with agency policy Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and their families Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and maintain a safe, clean living environment Support clients with memory care needs, including those living with dementia or Alzheimer's disease Assist with catheter care, hospice support, and other delegated care tasks as permitted by Pennsylvania regulations and agency policies Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the clinical care team Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent Current Home Health Aide certification or eligibility to work as a Home Health Aide in Pennsylvania Experience working with pediatric or geriatric clients Reliable transportation to client homes Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate, dependable, and patient-centered approach to care Ability to work independently while following an individualized care plan Preferred Previous experience in home health, personal care, assisted living, nursing home, hospice, or long-term care Experience caring for seniors and individuals with disabilities CPR certification Experience with dementia and Alzheimer's care Experience using Hoyer lifts and other mobility equipment Basic knowledge of electronic documentation systems We're Looking for Caregivers Who Are Compassionate and caring Dependable and trustworthy Professional and respectful Patient and attentive to individual needs Strong communicators and team players Passionate about helping others remain safe and independent at home Build a Career That Makes a Difference At Better Home Care, our caregivers are the heart of everything we do.
