Job Description

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Join a supportive educational setting where you'll provide one-on-one care and assistance to a student, helping them safely participate in daily school activities.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-2:30 PM (School Year Calendar)
Position Type:
Full-Time, School-Based Assignment Responsibilities Provide one-on-one health-related and personal care support to a student throughout the school day. Assist with activities of daily living, including toileting, hygiene, feeding, dressing, and mobility. Monitor and report changes in the student's health, behavior, or overall well-being. Support student safety and provide supervision as needed. Assist during classroom activities, transitions, lunch, and other school-related events. Follow individualized care plans and nursing directives. Support mobility needs, including transfers, positioning, and use of adaptive equipment. Document care and observations in accordance with program requirements. Collaborate with nurses, educators, therapists, and other support staff. Use positive behavior support and de-escalation strategies when appropriate. Maintain confidentiality and follow all applicable health and safety guidelines. Qualifications Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification. High school diploma or GED. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Ability to remain attentive, professional, and patient in a student-centered environment. Knowledge of personal care, infection control, and safe patient handling practices. CPR/BLS certification preferred. Preferred Experience Experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with special needs. Experience providing one-on-one support. Experience supporting individuals with autism or behavioral support needs. Familiarity with health documentation and individualized care plans. Experience assisting with mobility needs and adaptive equipment. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the day. Ability to lift, transfer, reposition, or assist individuals as needed. Ability to respond quickly to health, behavioral, or safety concerns.
