  • Nursing Assistant:
    As a Medication Technician
  • Nursing Assistant , you will carry out our Mission of Love by providing high-quality care and support to residents by assisting with daily living activities, administering medications, and ensuring a safe, clean, and supportive environment Complete all resident status communication tools and documentation.
Report on resident status during shift change. Observe residents, answer call bells promptly, and report changes, unusual conditions, or reactions to the supervisor in a timely manner. Take appropriate action as required by the situation. Assist residents with bathing, hair care, nail care, mouth care, and other personal hygiene needs. Support residents to and from meals, scheduled activities, and outside appointments. Help maintain neat resident rooms; replenish personal care items and remove trash as needed. Pass and document administration of medications as directed by physician orders and medication administration records, following facility policies and procedures. Perform medication pass with Med-Pass Trainer twice per year. Take and record vital signs, temperature, pulse, respiration (TPR), and blood pressure. Record intake and output accurately. Empty and change catheter drainage bags as directed. Follow all facility and nursing policies, including those related to resident and employee safety. Respond to fire and disaster alarms and drills according to procedures; assist residents to safety during evacuations. Participate in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment. Direct visitors, answer telephones, and run errands as needed. Maintain positive communication and rapport with co-workers, residents, families, physicians, and other facility departments. Participate in in-service education programs, floor conferences, and nursing staff meetings. Store and distribute clean linen; change bed linens as indicated. Collect soiled linen and personal laundry according to procedures. Practice fiscal responsibility in the use of supplies, equipment, and time management.   • Nursing Assistant:
    High School diploma or equivalent. Current status on the Pennsylvania Nursing Assistant registry is required. Must successfully pass Department of Health and Human Services (DHS) approved medication administration class. Completion of diabetic certification by a certified diabetic educator
  • maintain annual recertification.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions. CPR and First Aid with hands-on skills testing required upon or within three months of hire. Ability to communicate effectively to ensure clear exchange of information with residents, families, visitors, and team members.
