Nursing Assistant Job Description Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including hospitals, assisted living facilities, and geriatrics. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring the comfort and safety of our patients. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure. Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems like eClinicalWorks and Cerner. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients. Help with mobility and transportation of patients within the facility. Collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Ensure cleanliness and safety of the patient environment. Assist in the administration of medications as directed by nursing staff. Skills Proficient in maintaining medical records and familiarity with electronic health record systems. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to understand patient needs effectively. Excellent patient service skills with a focus on empathy and compassion. Experience working in hospital settings or assisted living facilities is preferred. Knowledge of geriatric care practices is beneficial. Experience working with children is a plus but not required. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
