Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to enhance comfort and independence Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems Support medical staff with procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy, and basic medication administration under supervision Ensure safe patient transfers utilizing equipment like Hoyer lifts and adhere to safe lifting practices during manual handling tasks Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and document all care activities thoroughly in medical records Provide compassionate support to patients with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other memory-related conditions, including specialized memory care techniques Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams in settings such as long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, or home care environments Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques essential for delivering safe patient care Experience working with diverse populations including geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring hospice or critical care services Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation and record management Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and respond promptly to patient needs in high-pressure environments like ICU or Level I Trauma Centers Excellent communication skills to coordinate with healthcare teams and provide clear caregiving instructions to patients and their families Demonstrated understanding of infection control protocols and safe handling practices for infectious disease care Physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks necessary for patient transfers and mobility assistance Join us in delivering compassionate, energetic nursing support that transforms lives!
