Job Description

The Nursing Office Contracts Assistant is responsible for the initiation, execution, and maintenance of clinical affiliation agreements between the Department of Nursing and healthcare facilities. The primary goal of this position is to ensure all legal and contractual hurdles are cleared so that nursing students can safely and legally complete their required clinical hours. This is a part-time hourly position. This is not a full-time position and there are no full-time benefits with the position. This position has flexible hours (typically 20-29 hours per week) to be coordinated with the Graduate Program Director. Potential for a hybrid office/remote work arrangement. Initiate new clinical affiliation agreements with clinical sites. Track expiration dates and lead the renewal process to prevent lapses in student placements. Working with the Legal Office, ensure all contracts meet the specific legal requirements of both the University and the clinical site. Maintain a master database of active, pending, and archived agreements. Communicate with FNP students to coordinate clinical affiliation agreements and student onboarding requirements for specific clinical sites. Provide regular status updates to the Nursing Online Program Coordinator and Nursing Graduate Program Director regarding stie-specific requirements that may impact program accreditation or student progress. Minimum Qualifications Associate Degree or three years of experience in a legal, medical, or high-level administrative environment. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree. Ability to interact positively with faculty, staff, and students. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work with diverse groups. Experience with Google Workspace applications, (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar). This position is contingent on funding. Due to recent changes in H1B visa fees, Southern Utah University is no longer able to sponsor international faculty and staff that require an H1B visa and are currently living outside of the United States.
