Job Description
The ETSU College of Nursing, Department of Graduate Nursing Programs invites applications for a temporary, part-time Clerical and Outreach Support Assistant. This position provides outreach and essential clerical support for the Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) program, a nationally recognized, evidence-based home visitation model that supports first-time mothers and their families. The Clerical and Outreach Support Assistant will assist with a variety of administrative and program support tasks, including general clerical duties, office and data entry activities, outreach support, inventory coordination, and referral management. The position supports program operations across two program sites located in Kingsport and Bean Station, Tennessee. This position is temporary and part-time and requires on-site work at program locations; remote work is not available. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of Microsoft Office, electronic health records (EHR), and reporting data systems. Ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, program staff, and the community at-large. Demonstrated ability to work independently. Ability to travel to both program sites and other locations for outreach support. Required Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Physical Requirements Common Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (6-8 hours.) Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, or reach frequently. Ability to push or pull carts, equipment, or materials. Ability to climb ladders or stairs safely. Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions. Office or Administrative Roles Ability to sit for extended periods. Ability to type and use a computer keyboard for long durations. Ability to read screens and printed materials clearly. Ability to lift 10-20 pounds (files, office supplies, etc.) Driving or Delivery Requirements Ability to sit for long periods while driving. Ability to enter and exit a vehicle frequently. Ability to lift and carry packages up to a specified weight. Ability to use hand trucks or dollies as needed.
