Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort Take and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates with accuracy and professionalism Support patient transfer methods using equipment like Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safety for both patients and staff Maintain patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and ensuring secure handling of medical records and documentation Provide emotional support and effective communication to patients and their families, fostering trust and reassurance Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, medication administration under supervision, or basic wound care as trained Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, following proper medical documentation protocols Experience Prior experience working with diverse populations including geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring memory care such as Alzheimer's or dementia care Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques essential for safe patient handling and infection control Experience in various healthcare environments such as long-term care facilities, hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), outpatient clinics, or home health settings Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation and patient record management Hands-on experience with patient transfer methods using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices in compliance with safe lifting practices Ability to work effectively in fast-paced settings such as emergency medicine, urgent care, or hospital medicine units requiring acute care skills Strong caregiving communication skills tailored to working with children, seniors, or individuals with disabilities Join us if you're passionate about providing exceptional patient service through compassionate caregiving!
