About Preferred Care Haven Preferred Care Haven is a Rhode Island-licensed home nursing care agency committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality personal and nursing care in the comfort of our clients' homes. We empower individuals to maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life through personalized care plans and a dedicated team of professionals. Position Overview As a CNA, you will provide hands-on assistance and companionship to adults and seniors in their homes. You'll work one-on-one with clients to support daily living activities, encourage social engagement, and promote overall well-being. This role is rewarding for someone with a genuine passion for helping others and strong interpersonal skills. Key Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including: Personal hygiene (bathing, grooming, dressing) Toileting and incontinence care Meal planning and preparation Provide mobility support and safe transfer assistance Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and social activities Perform light housekeeping tasks and laundry Monitor and document client's condition, behaviors, and progress Administer medication reminders per care plan (non-medical administration) Encourage social interaction and meaningful engagement Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care team Report any changes in client's health or behavior to supervisory staff Adhere to agency policies, client confidentiality (HIPAA), and safety protocols Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential preferred Previous experience in home care, long-term care, or disability support preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass criminal background and health screenings (per RIDOH Section 17.5.3(L)) Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and follow care plans Flexibility to work daytime, evening, weekend, or overnight shifts as needed What We Offer Competitive hourly rate: $23.00/hr (weekday/daytime), $24.00/hr (weekend/overnight) Ongoing training and professional development Supportive team environment and clinical oversight Flexible scheduling to accommodate school, family, or other commitments Opportunities for career advancement within
