Job Overview Join our dedicated team as an Activities Assistant (CNA) in a long-term care setting that prioritizes senior well-being and engagement. In this full-time role, you will play a vital part in enriching residents' lives through thoughtfully planned activities, social programs, and personalized interactions. Your enthusiasm and compassion will foster a lively, supportive environment where seniors feel valued, connected, and inspired to thrive every day. Duties Facilitate engaging resident activities and events tailored to individual interests and abilities, including recreational therapy sessions and social gatherings. Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), ensuring comfort and dignity during participation in programs. Build strong rapport with residents through compassionate communication, understanding their needs related to aging issues, dementia care, and memory support. Develop and implement innovative activity programs that promote cognitive stimulation, social interaction, and physical wellness. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to assess resident needs and adapt activities accordingly. Manage scheduling for activities and resident events to ensure smooth operation and maximum participation. Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation, progress notes, and activity logs while fostering positive client communication. Experience Prior experience working with seniors in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's support, geriatrics, and memory care strategies. Proven ability to develop engaging programs that enhance residents' quality of life through recreational therapy or similar initiatives. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, team members, and community partners. Experience coordinating resident events or social activities within senior living or community care settings. Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools for documentation and program planning purposes.
