A Nursing Assistant provides hospital and nursing home patients with basic care and assists them with daily activities. Helps patients with dressing, washing, and feeding. May perform basic medical care under the direction of a nurse or other medical professional. These roles typically require completion of a regional agency-approved training program in order to obtain a certification before practicing.

Program Requirements:
Full attendance is mandatory — no absences or tardiness permitted Must maintain an 85% average or higher throughout the course Pass a criminal background check and be clear of the Tennessee and/or National Abuse Registry for Children and Adults Individuals with felony convictions , specific misdemeanors, or abuse registry listings cannot be admitted
Class Information:
Class typically includes 12-14 students If accepted, you will be notified by phone or email the week before the class begins A $50 deposit for books and supplies is required on the first day and will be refunded once book is returned
