CNA - Baylor Weekend Shift 6:30 PM-6:30 AM (Night Shift) (Baylor = Overtime Rate, 12 hour shifts on weekends) CNA Training offered by company if not Certified! Must be a certified nursing assistant in good standing with the State of Tennessee. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to read, write, and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job. Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents, families, government regulators, and to work cooperatively with other employee at all levels. Must be able to speak and understand English. Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance. Must meet all local regulations and pass post-employment physical exam if required. Must be capable of performing the essential job functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations. Related experience at a level necessary to accomplish the job or experience as a certified nursing assistant preferred. Directs or assists residents in transfer techniques to walk or use walkers, and with range of motion and activities; coordinates or assists with other restorative functions; evaluates progress and documents every three weeks on all residents on a restorative program, weekly on those residents on a restorative feeding program, weekly on those residents who have had a significant change and as needed, and participate in care plan meetings as deemed necessary. Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing of bed linens, and positioning in and out of bed, chair, etc. Assist with resident recreation programs. Prepares residents for meals and snacks, assists residents in eating where needed, and record food intake. Reports changes in resident condition to nurse in charge; documents care provision on resident record as required and reports accidents and incidents; and provided nursing functions as directed by supervisor. Attend in in-service training, assist in implementing orientation programs and job skills training; maintain professional competence. Attend and participate in training, education activities and staff meetings; assist in orientation and training of other staff.
