Job Description

Job Title:
CNA/DSP (Certified Nursing Assistant / Direct Support Professional)
Job Summary:
The CNA/DSP provides compassionate, person-centered care and support to individuals with disabilities, special needs, or health-related challenges. This role assists with daily living activities, promotes independence, ensures health and safety, and supports individuals in achieving their personal goals within home and community settings.
This Position has specific hours:
1:30p-7:30p
Key Responsibilities:
Assist individuals with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Support daily living activities and encourage independence. Monitor and report changes in health, behavior, or well-being. Assist with medication reminders as permitted by policy. Maintain accurate documentation and records. Provide companionship and emotional support. Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment. Transport and accompany individuals to appointments and community activities as needed.
Qualifications:
Current CNA certification (if required by position/state regulations). Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 18 yrs or older Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred. Valid Car Insurance CPR/First Aide preferred
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, transfer, and assist individuals as needed. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical caregiving tasks throughout the shift.
