Key Responsibilities:
Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring dignity and comfort for patients. Monitor and accurately document vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to support effective patient care. Assist patients with mobility needs by transferring, repositioning, and ambulating to promote safety and prevent complications. Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Maintain cleanliness and safety of patient rooms and common areas, adhering to infection control protocols. Respond promptly and professionally to patient call signals, requests, and emergencies, demonstrating attentiveness and empathy. Accurately document patient conditions, care provided, and any changes in medical records, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. Offer emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families, fostering a caring, supportive environment.
Qualifications:
Valid State-issued Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification. Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a CNA in a hospital setting. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Physical strength and stamina to assist with patient transfers, lifts, and mobility tasks safely.
