Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide exceptional hospice care in Royce City and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, with experience in various healthcare settings such as long-term care, hospitals, or home health. This role involves delivering personalized support to patients facing end-of-life situations, ensuring comfort, dignity, and quality of life. Candidates must be committed to adhering to healthcare standards and maintaining patient confidentiality while working within a team of healthcare professionals. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance using equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed under the supervision of nursing staff. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during hospice care. Document patient care activities thoroughly using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner. Support infection control practices through aseptic techniques and proper medical documentation. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Assist with specialized care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, memory impairments, or behavioral health conditions. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Participate in ongoing training related to medical-surgical procedures, emergency response (Basic Life Support), and other relevant certifications. Requirements Valid CNA certification with current licensure. Experience in hospice care or related fields such as ICU, emergency medicine, geriatrics, or behavioral health is highly preferred. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control protocols. Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, seniors, individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders. Strong communication skills and compassionate bedside manner. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in fast-paced environments such as hospitals or outpatient clinics. Physical stamina to assist with patient mobility and perform tasks requiring lifting or prolonged standing.
