Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on a 12-hour shift, where your compassionate care and clinical skills will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. This dynamic role offers an energetic environment focused on delivering exceptional patient-centered care across diverse settings, including long-term care, hospitals, assisted living, and community health. As a vital member of our caregiving team, you will support patients with dignity, respect, and professionalism while working in a fast-paced, rewarding atmosphere that values your expertise and dedication. (Morning's or Nights) Responsibilities Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using safe lifting practices and manual handling techniques. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, ensuring proper documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support patient transfer methods utilizing equipment like Hoyer lifts and ensure safe patient movement to prevent injury. Administer medications following prescribed protocols while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Assist with specialized care needs such as catheter care, wound management, dementia and Alzheimer's care, memory care, and behavioral health support. Collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans for patients with complex conditions including trauma (Level I & II trauma centers), ICU cases, infectious diseases, hospice needs, pediatrics, geriatrics, and post-acute care. Maintain accurate medical documentation using EMR/EHR systems; ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards. Communicate effectively with patients' families and multidisciplinary teams to promote understanding of treatment plans and patient progress. Support infection control protocols through aseptic techniques and proper handling of medical supplies and equipment. Experience Prior experience working in critical care environments such as ICU or emergency medicine is highly valued. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks is preferred. Experience in long-term care facilities or nursing homes with geriatric populations enhances your suitability for this role. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration is essential for delivering safe patient care. Background in specialized areas such as hospice care, pediatric or behavioral health settings is advantageous. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR is required; additional certifications like phlebotomy or DME are a plus. Proven ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments such as hospital medicine or urgent care centers while maintaining attention to detail and compassion for patients of all ages.
