Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) working double weekends! This vital role offers an exciting opportunity to provide compassionate, high-quality care to diverse patient populations across various settings. As a CNA on this schedule, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring residents and patients receive attentive support during weekends, helping to improve their well-being and comfort. Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs, patient conditions, and changes in health status accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems Support patients with specialized needs including dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, and behavioral health conditions Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, medication administration under supervision, and basic life support (BLS) techniques Use proper manual handling and safe lifting practices when transferring patients with equipment like Hoyer lifts or other patient transfer methods Maintain strict patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure accurate medical documentation Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including nurses, physicians, therapists, and social workers to coordinate comprehensive care plans Requirements Valid CNA certification in good standing with current state licensure Experience working with geriatric patients in long-term care facilities or nursing homes is highly preferred Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for documentation and patient records management Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques necessary for safe patient care Prior experience in critical care environments such as ICU or trauma centers is advantageous but not required Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks involving manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages—including pediatrics—and team members across healthcare disciplines Join us in delivering exceptional patient service while advancing your career in a dynamic healthcare environment.
