Day l Full-time How you\u2019ll make an impact in this role
Comprehensive Patient Care:
Support surgeons before, during, and after operations by properly positioning patients to ensure the best surgical access while keeping them safe and comfortable.
Clear Site Visualization:
Help surgeons get a clear view of the operating area by managing tissues, using retractors, controlling fluids (suctioning, irrigation, and sponging), and following physician instructions.
Bleeding Control:
Use proven techniques to manage and stop bleeding quickly, both temporarily and permanently, during the procedure.
Wound Closure and Recovery:
Assist with closing body layers, applying dressings, and securely placing drainage systems to support patient healing. What minimum requirements you\u2019ll need Licensure / Certification /
Registration:
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. One or more of the following required: Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Certified Registered Nurse specializing in Operating Room credentialed from the Competency& Credentialing Institute (CCI) preferred. Certified Registered Nurse specializing in First Assistant credentialed from the National Assistant at Surgery Certification preferred.
Education:
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.
