Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team for the Double Weekend shift, working from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Duties Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately using EMR/EHR systems Support patient transfer methods utilizing safe lifting practices and equipment like Hoyer lifts to ensure safety for both patients and staff Administer medications as directed by nursing staff following proper protocols and maintaining strict patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Observe and report changes in patient condition or behavior promptly to nursing staff, especially in memory care or dementia care settings Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control procedures Document all patient interactions thoroughly in medical records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare standards Skills Proven experience working with diverse populations including geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring specialized dementia or Alzheimer's care Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for efficient medical documentation Strong knowledge of vital signs measurement, anatomy, physiology, and basic medical terminology Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper manual handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and caregivers Prior experience in long-term care facilities, hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), assisted living communities, or home care environments is highly desirable Knowledge of infection control practices including aseptic technique and infectious disease care protocols Join us in making a meaningful difference every weekend!
