Job Description

Cadena Family Practice is looking for a dependable, motivated, and compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our growing team. We are a busy primary care and occupational medicine practice seeking someone who works well in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively with patients and coworkers, and is willing to learn and assist wherever needed.
Responsibilities include:
Rooming, screening, and obtaining vital signs on patients Obtaining and documenting patient histories and concerns for the provider Assisting physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nursing staff with patient care Administering injections and in-office medications as ordered and within scope Preparing patients, rooms, instruments, and equipment for procedures and testing Assisting with in-office procedures and diagnostic testing Communicating with patients regarding medication refills, results, follow-up instructions, and plans of care as directed by the provider Accurately documenting patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) Learning and efficiently utilizing the systems and equipment used within our practice Maintaining clean, stocked, and organized patient-care areas Assisting the clinical team with additional tasks as needed throughout the day Working collaboratively with providers, nurses, front-office staff, and other members of the CFP team
Qualifications:
Must be fluent in both English and Spanish Previous experience in a medical office, clinic, or other patient-care setting is preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy clinical environment Dependable, professional, and comfortable working as part of a team Willingness to learn new clinical skills, equipment, and workflows Please include all applicable certifications and training on your resume or application, including: Medical Assistant (MA) Certification Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification Patient Care Technician (PCT) Certification CPR/BLS Certification Drug Screen Collector Certification Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) Certification Audiometry/Hearing Testing Certification or Training Vision Testing Certification or Training Any other relevant clinical or occupational-health certifications Experience with primary care, occupational medicine, drug and alcohol testing, hearing/vision testing, or electronic medical records is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate. We are looking for someone who is ready to be an active part of the team and help us provide efficient, compassionate care to our patients.
