Nurse Practitioner Job Description Overview We are seeking a experienced dedicated and skilled Part-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and demonstrate proficiency in various medical practices. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care across diverse settings. Bilingual is a plus. One year experience required. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and medical history. Prescribe medications, injections, and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques. Perform suturing, airway management, and other procedures as necessary. Manage acute pain, chronic conditions, and collaborate with palliative care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Utilize EMR system Athena for accurate documentation of patient records. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while maintaining confidentiality of patient information. Engage in triage processes within emergency medicine or urgent care settings to prioritize patient treatment based on severity. Experience Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas:. Familiarity with CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10 coding systems for accurate billing and documentation. Proficiency in handling diverse medical conditions including infectious disease care, geriatrics, and pain management. Experience with telehealth services to provide remote consultations effectively. Background in outpatient settings or nursing homes is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support protocols is essential.
