We are looking for a friendly Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Staffing Coordinator who will be responsible for developing and coordinating resident care staffing schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels in the clinical departments in accordance with company guidelines. Coordinate scheduling in an objective manner for nursing services. Plan and schedule staff for the nursing units to assure care for the residents, distributing appropriately throughout the facility and that staffing meets state and federal regulations. Principal Responsibilities Prepares all schedules for the nursing units and maintains four (4) weeks of posted schedules on the nursing units. Oversees nursing department scheduling in an objective manner, including vacations and holidays. Performs nursing department corrective action in accordance with company policy. Ensures accuracy of nursing payroll, including verifying hours worked, absences, vacations, PTO, etc.; verifies accuracy of timesheets with schedules and reconciles all attendance data for clinical department. Accurately documents activities- Sick, absent, floating, schedule changes, OT, extra shifts) on staffing sheets. Managing staffing, updating employee data, and auditing shifts and schedules, to ensure employees meet the requirements for shifts. Prepares and coordinates education schedules as required. Aiding in the training of new employees, and offering guidance, assistance, and direction during orientation and thereafter. Responds appropriately to inquiries and complaints about staffing and scheduling, takes the initiative to resolve problems with appropriate action and follow through, including documentation. Completes nursing hours reports daily. Completes scheduling and paperwork for new nursing employees. Keeps schedules up to date with personnel changes. Types memos for any changes in schedules, weekend coverage, holiday coverage and all vacation coverage. Attends phones in appropriate manner with proper routing of calls. Maintains computerized schedules within the scheduling software and company software. Completes data entry and typing as required. Assist with scheduling of resident appointments if needed. Fills in as needed and within scope of practice with clinical direct care and other duties in nursing. Increase staff retention through the development of efficient scheduling. Available after hours to be on-call or to otherwise be available to respond to calls using a facility issued phone; Must record hours worked. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or assigned at any time with or without notice. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent is required. Currently licensed as a CNA in the state practiced. Minimum of one-year long term care experience required. Strong personal organization and time management ability with attention to detail. Proficiency with
Microsoft Office:
Excel and Word applications.
