Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper manual handling and patient transfer methods. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, following established protocols. Support medical procedures by preparing patients for exams or treatments, including catheter care and basic wound care. Maintain strict adherence to infection control practices using aseptic techniques and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Document patient information thoroughly in electronic health records (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring accuracy and completeness of medical documentation. Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care tailored to individual needs. Assist with patient transfers using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices while practicing safe lifting practices. Skills Proven experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring specialized dementia or Alzheimer's care. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for efficient medical records management. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (CPR) certification. Experience in acute care environments such as ICU, emergency medicine, trauma centers (Level I & II), or hospital medicine is highly valued. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks involving physical strength and dexterity. Strong caregiver communication skills combined with compassionate patient service approach. Experience working within long-term care facilities or home & community care settings is preferred.
