Palestine, Texas Position Summary TruCare Living Center is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team. The CNA provides direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff while promoting dignity, comfort, and quality of life for all residents. This position plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centered care and creating a positive environment for residents and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct care to residents, including assistance with: Bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene Toileting and incontinence care Transferring, repositioning, and ambulation Assist residents with meals, feeding, and hydration Measure and record vital signs and report any changes in condition Observe and document resident status and report concerns to licensed nursing staff Maintain a clean, safe, and organized resident environment Support rehabilitation goals by assisting residents with mobility and exercises as instructed Answer call lights promptly and respond to resident needs Promote dignity, respect, and resident rights at all times Follow facility infection control policies and safety procedures Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality care
Qualifications:
Current Texas CNA certification in good standing Active CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) Previous experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting preferred Ability to work assigned shift (2p-10p), including weekends and holidays as needed Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented attitude Physical Requirements Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition residents (up to 50 lbs or more with assistance) Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations Work Environment Skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility setting Frequent interaction with residents, families, and healthcare staff May be exposed to bodily fluids, infectious diseases, and varying patient behaviors Why Join TruCare Living Center?
