- Provide direct patient care and assist in the delivery of healthcare services
- Perform and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with medical procedures and treatments under the supervision of licensed nurses or physicians
- Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes to the healthcare team
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
Requirements:
- Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant
- Previous experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a senior care facility or hospital
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems and medical documentation
- Proficiency in performing vital signs measurements and using medical equipment such as Durable Medical Equipment (DME)
- Understanding of aseptic technique to maintain infection control standards
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other healthcare staff members
