Job Description

Shift:
Full Time 6pm-6am (W/ Rotating Weekends) Job Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) working the swing shift, where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. In this vital role, you will provide direct patient care, assist with daily activities, and support clinical staff to ensure a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment for all residents. Responsibilities Deliver personalized patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility, including safe handling practices with equipment like Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, maintaining detailed medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems while respecting patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Support clinical teams by preparing patients for procedures, assisting with medication administration under supervision, and ensuring infection control protocols are followed using aseptic techniques. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide updates on patient status and address concerns promptly. Assist in patient transfers using appropriate transfer methods and equipment, ensuring safety during movement across various care settings such as long-term care facilities or hospital environments. Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection prevention standards, managing medical supplies, and performing routine sanitation tasks. Demonstrate proficiency in various EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation of patient care activities. Qualifications Valid CNA certification with current state licensure. Experience working in diverse healthcare settings including long-term care, hospitals (ICU, trauma centers), assisted living, or home care. Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, catheter care, and basic life support (BLS). Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform manual handling tasks in accordance with safe lifting practices. Experience working with geriatric patients or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly valued. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality while managing sensitive medical records in compliance with HIPAA standards. Join us in providing exceptional patient-centered care during the swing shift! Pay:
$16.50 - $22.00 per hour
