ABOUT US AT DESERT HAVEN HOSPICE WE BELIEVE IN HONORING LIFE AND OFFERING COMPASSIONATE CARE TO PATIENTS AND FAMILIES DURING THEIR MOST VULNERABLE MOMENTS. OUR HOSPICE TEAM IS DEDICATED TO PROVIDING HOLISTIC SUPPORT, PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, AND SPIRITUAL, THROUGH EVERY STAGE OF THE END-OF-LIFE JOURNEY. POSITION SUMMARY WE ARE LOOKING FOR A CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT
(CNA)
THAT PROVIDES COMPASSIONATE, HANDS-ON PERSONAL CARE TO HOSPICE PATIENTS IN THEIR PLACE OF RESIDENCE UNDER THE DIRECTION AND SUPERVISION OF A REGISTERED NURSE. PREFERABLY AVAILABLE DURING THE DAY. THE CNA PLAYS A VITAL ROLE IN PROMOTING COMFORT, DIGNITY, AND QUALITY OF LIFE FOR PATIENTS FACING LIFE-LIMITING ILLNESS WHILE OFFERING SUPPORT TO FAMILIES AND CAREGIVERS. RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, toileting, and skin care Assist patients with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the RN Case Manager Support comfort measures in alignment with the hospice plan of care Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to patient care Provide emotional support to patients and families Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided Follow infection control, safety, and hospice policies and procedures Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings as appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS
Current, active CNA certification in the state of utah. Ability to provide compassionate care to patients with life-limiting illness Strong communication and observation skills Ability to work independently in patient homes Current CPR or bls certification Valid driver's license, reliable transportation Ability to pass background check and drug screening

Pay:
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
