Position Overview for Caregiver (CNA/CMT) : We are seeking caring and dedicated caregivers to assist our residents in the Assisted Living Program with their activities of daily living. You will enable residents to lead fulfilling lives while maintaining their dignity. Reporting to the Director of Resident Care, you will be a vital part of our team, providing support that enhances the overall well-being of our residents. Key Responsibilities as Caregiver (CNA/CMT) : Assistance with
Daily Living:
Provide support with bathing, grooming, dressing, transferring, eating, toileting, and other daily activities.
Emotional Support:
Offer emotional and social support to residents, fostering a warm and caring environment.
Service Plan Adherence:
Follow residents' service plans to ensure their specific care needs are met.
Training & Mentorship:
Assist in training new caregivers and serve as a resource for fellow staff.
Care Coordination:
Review resident care schedules daily for accuracy and completion, ensuring all needs are met.
Documentation:
Adhere to department documentation standards and inform supervisors of any resident issues or concerns.
Safety & Compliance:
Familiarize yourself with emergency procedures and health regulations to maintain a safe environment. Desired Characteristics as Caregiver (CNA/CMT) :
Compassionate Nature:
A genuine desire to help and improve residents' lives through compassionate care.
Strong Communicator:
Ability to convey information effectively to residents, families, and colleagues.
Detail-Oriented:
Careful attention to detail in following care plans and documentation.
Team Player:
Willingness to collaborate with others and support your team. Experience and Education Requirements FOR (CNA/CMT): High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or six to twelve months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have Medicine Tech or C.N.A in the state of VA.
