Job Summary Loving Arms Care, Inc. is growing in the Shenandoah Valley, and we're looking for dependable, compassionate caregivers in and around Waynesboro, Fishersville, and Staunton. We already have clients in the area and are excited to build a local team to support them. Our caregivers help older adults feel safe, comfortable, and connected at home. Depending on the client's needs, you may provide companionship, help with daily routines and personal care, prepare meals, offer reminders, or accompany a client on outings. Join our compassionate team as an In-Home Caregiver, providing vital support to individuals in Waynesboro, Fishersville, and Staunton, VA. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene Support patients with medication reminders Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking Provide patient observation to identify changes in condition or behavior, ensuring timely intervention when necessary Help with mobility and transfers using proper techniques, patient transfer methods to promote safety Maintain detailed care plans, document patient progress, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams about resident needs Support clients with home & community care activities, including transportation assistance for appointments or errands Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality at all times Skills You may be a great fit if you: Treat clients with patience, warmth, and respect Communicate clearly and arrive reliably for scheduled shifts Are comfortable following a client's care plan and keeping the office informed Have caregiving experience, whether professional or personal Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care settings such as assisted living or nursing homes Strong knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and hospice care practices Skilled in patient monitoring, vital signs measurement, manual handling, and use of medical equipment. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration Ability to perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and maintaining a safe environment for clients Familiarity with care plans development and medication management procedures Certified in First Aid and CPR; experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is a plus This role is ideal for compassionate individuals eager to provide high-quality home health support while fostering independence and well-being.
