Job Description
Job Overview Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Newport News, VA. This rewarding role offers flexible Mon-Fri schedules, part-time hours, and weekend shifts, allowing you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care. You will provide essential support to residents in assisted living, nursing homes, or home health settings, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Support with medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal consumption to promote health and well-being Maintain accurate documentation of patient observations, care provided, and resident's rights adherence Support residents with memory care needs including Alzheimer's and dementia care through personalized engagement and supervision Ensure a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols Assist with transportation to appointments or community activities using personal transportation methods Requirements Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring Experience with Alzheimer's care, dementia care Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and patient transfers using proper techniques Certification as a CNA or PCA is preferred; willingness to obtain necessary credentials required for employment Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Ability to work flexible hours including weekends; self-motivated with a caring attitude This position offers an enriching environment where your dedication directly impacts the quality of life for those you serve. Pay:
