Business Administrator Hours:
3 hours per week, every Sunday 8:45-11:45 a.m., plus extra shifts when agreed. (- This could be a shared position enabling some weekends off.
Compensation:
$90/week plus $30/hour for extra shifts, when applicable, paid bi-weekly. This is an employee position with withholding. Job Summary The Nursery Care Worker provides dependable, safe, secure, and nurturing care to children, ages 0-5 years, during Sunday school and Sunday morning worship and rare special events.Essential Functions:
- Provides age-appropriate care which includes (but not limited to): feeding, changing diapers, escorting to the bathroom, distributing snacks and helping them to clean up afterwards, interacting with children through games, stories, play, and prayer.
- Fosters a warm and welcoming presence by engaging with the parents/guardians and building a relationship with them and nursery volunteers.
- Seeks to provide opportunities for faith formation of the children through prayer, crafts, Bible stories and an environment of safety and trust.
- Ensures a safe playing environment for the children in the nursery.
- In the event of an emergency with a child, notify the parent via cell phone.
- Arrive 15 minutes before the start of Sunday School, currently at 9:00. Child care hours include every Sunday 8:45-11:45, holidays included. May have the option to work other church events, i.e. Ash Wednesday, Holy Week, Christmas Eve, Vacation Bible School, Congregational meetings, etc. Opportunity for extra work will be communicated in advance, ideally 2 weeks prior to the event.
- Works cooperatively with congregational nursery volunteer(s).
- Cleans, sanitizes and straightens up each week before leaving.

- Some previous work with young children (does not need to be formal employment).
- Demonstrates the ability to adapt and interact with a variety of personalities and young ages.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Satisfactory completion of CPR training for infants and children.
- Satisfactory background check after interview.
- Three references. Termination Policy
- There will be a 90-day probationary period where either party may terminate employment without cause. After this period, a two-week notice is expected from either party.
- Dependability is essential. Tardiness and excessive absences will result in termination of employment.
- Immediate termination without notification will occur in cases of: o Intentional verbal, physical, or emotional abuse or neglect of any child, parent, or church member.
