Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; accurately document findings in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper protocols are followed according to HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards. Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support. Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy (blood draws), and aseptic techniques during sterile procedures in clinical settings like ICU or OR environments. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care, emergency medicine, ICU, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or Level I Trauma Center settings to deliver timely patient service. Maintain infection control standards by practicing proper hand hygiene, using PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and adhering to hospital protocols for infectious disease care. Support patients in outpatient clinics or home & community care environments by providing compassionate caregiving tailored to individual needs. Qualifications Valid certification as a CNA or PCA with current state licensure or registration. Experience working in critical care environments such as ICU, emergency medicine, or trauma centers is highly preferred. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for medical documentation and records management. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic life support (BLS). Prior experience with specialized patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, or individuals with disabilities is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to perform patient service tasks such as vital signs measurement, medication administration, catheter care and aseptic techniques. Strong communication skills combined with compassion and patience to work effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
