Responsibilities for Certified Nurse Aide Demonstrate current knowledge of proper transfer techniques to include the use of mechanical lifts (Hoyer) and how to practice fall prevention techniques. Help patients with personal hygiene and care such as bathing, grooming, and dressing, and bowel and bladder care Take and record patient vital signs and weight Observe and record patients' conditions, food and liquid intake and other behavior, and report changes to supervisor Help patients walk with canes, walkers, or other devices Make beds, and maintain clean and safe environments for patients Lift, transport, and move patients using the appropriate techniques Treat all patients, family, and other visitors with respect, and engage with them in a tactful manner at all times Comply with all safety and health regulations Valid driver's license with clean DMV record. Physical and mental ability to drive a vehicle. Access to an insured and reliable vehicle Qualifications for Certified Nurse Aide High school diploma or GED preferred Must hold current CNA certification in the state of practice Basic computer skills and access to a personal email Prior work experience in a direct patient care setting or in a long-term care facility preferred Provide proof and maintain up to date with the state mandated regulation of in-service education or training for caregivers of at least 12 hours annually. Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate written instructions in English. Three recent professional references (Clients you have worked with, supervisors or instructors). references.
