Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care, support clinical staff, and assist patients with their daily needs. Your energy and enthusiasm will help create a positive environment for patients of all ages, including those in long-term care, acute settings, and specialized units such as memory care and hospice. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care and attention. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and transfer methods Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations while managing medical records and documentation Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments within memory or behavioral health units Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy preparation, and aseptic techniques during clinical tasks Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in various settings including hospitals (Level I & II Trauma Centers), outpatient clinics, long-term care facilities, and home care environments Use EMR/EHR systems proficiently to document patient information accurately and efficiently Support patient transfers using safe lifting practices and appropriate equipment like Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques Communicate caregiving plans clearly to patients and their families to ensure comfort and understanding during treatment Requirements Valid CNA certification from an accredited program with current licensure in the state of employment Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with disabilities, or behavioral health needs Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (CPR) certification required Prior experience in settings such as hospitals (including ICU or Emergency medicine), long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or hospice is highly desirable Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks for medical documentation and patient records management Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere to safe lifting practices during patient transfers or manual handling tasks Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with healthcare teams and provide compassionate patient service Demonstrated understanding of infection control protocols including aseptic technique and infectious disease care standards Join us in delivering exceptional patient-centered care that transforms lives!
