Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will provide essential support to patients and assist with their daily activities. Duties:
  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse
  • Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
  • Perform basic medical procedures, such as venipuncture and catheterization
  • Assist with patient mobility and transfers
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
  • Document patient information accurately and maintain medical records
  • Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care
Experience:
  • Previous experience in patient service or caregiving roles is preferred
  • Knowledge of pediatric care is a plus
  • Familiarity with dementia care techniques is beneficial
  • Proficiency in performing venipuncture and tube feeding is desired
  • Experience with suturing is an asset
Skills:
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature to provide emotional support to patients
  • Attention to detail to accurately record patient information and follow instructions
