Job Description

Join HumanGood community as a Nursing Assistant Certified and provide compassionate, person-centered care to older adults in our senior living community. In this frontline role, you'll assist residents with daily living activities, mobility, hygiene, nutrition, and safety while monitoring and reporting changes to licensed nursing staff. You'll build meaningful relationships, support restorative care, and help create a warm, dignified environment. As part of our mission-driven, collaborative team, you'll receive training, mentorship, and growth opportunities in senior living and healthcare services. Responsibilities Provide hands-on assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding residents Support safe transfers, ambulation, and use of mobility aids following safety protocols Measure and record vital signs, intake/output, and report changes to licensed nurses Maintain resident comfort, dignity, and privacy while fostering a respectful, caring environment Follow infection control, standard precautions, and safety procedures at all times Document care provided in charts or electronic systems accurately and timely Assist with restorative and activity programs to promote resident independence and engagement Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members Monitor residents for physical, cognitive, and emotional changes and promptly report concerns Support unit cleanliness, organization, and readiness, including equipment and supplies Required Skills Patient care and basic nursing skills Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) Vital signs measurement and documentation Safe resident transfers and mobility support Infection prevention and control practices Basic restorative and rehabilitative care Electronic health record (EHR) or charting skills Observation and reporting of resident condition changes Time management and task prioritization Communication with residents, families, and care teams
