The Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse will provide professional nursing or medical assistant care as needed at an industrial clinic in Sturgeon Bay, WI. Room patients, perform and document vital signs and patient backgrounds. Coordinate provider schedules and appointment, enter orders and prepare patient charts. Instruct patients and families as directed within scope of licensure or certification. Prepare patients and assist medical providers with in-office procedures and prepare and administer medications/immunizations. Maintain exam rooms and equipment to be within infection control standards. Ensure appropriate levels of medical supplies for each patient room. Schedule patient appointments for lab draws, and process lab work as needed.

Qualifications:

BLS Certification Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers from approved program. (Can be obtained on the job).

Licensed Practical Nurse:

Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing. Valid Practical Nursing license in the state of WI through an approved accreditor.

Certified Medical Assistant:

Certified as a Medical Assistant, or Registered Medical Assistant through an approved accreditor preferred, however can train on the job.

Shift:

Working Casual Call (meaning you work as needed), primarily looking to staff on Thursdays and Fridays at a local Industrial Clinic in Sturgeon Bay, WI. There is a Casual Call differential premium of 10% for hours worked Education Required High School or better Preferred General Education Diploma or better Associates or better in Nursing or related field Licenses & Certifications Preferred
