Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Full-Time In-Home Caregiver, where your compassion and expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve. This role offers morning and second shift availability, providing flexible scheduling options to fit your lifestyle. As a caregiver, you will deliver personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and comfort for individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, people with disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. Your proactive approach and positive attitude will help create a nurturing environment where clients feel valued and supported every day. Looking for an experienced, dependable caregiver who enjoys providing thoughtful one-on-one support to seniors. This couple needing care is a husband with a history of falls who uses a walker, and his wife who has dementia and benefits from gentle cueing and reminders. This is a great fit for a mature, patient caregiver who is comfortable with fall prevention, dementia support, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, and working in a home with a friendly dog. Care is provided 7 days/week, with our preference to have a small team with a reoccuring as possible. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking. Monitor patients' vital signs, observe health status, and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals promptly. Administer medications accurately following care plans while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality. Support clients with cognitive impairments by implementing memory care strategies and engaging in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation. Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment for clients. Document care activities thoroughly in compliance with healthcare standards and assist in updating personalized care plans regularly. Requirements Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings is highly preferred. Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and HIPAA compliance are required Training in Alzheimer's & Dementia care supports. Ability to lift 25lbs safely and perform tasks involving patient transfer using equipment like Hoyer lifts. Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing signs of medical or behavioral issues. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Valid driver's license, drivers insurance, and reliable transportation are often necessary for community-based care assignments.
