Roane General Hospital is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our growing Rural Health Clinic team. Roane General Hospital is a 60-bed Critical Access Hospital located in Spencer, West Virginia, offering 25 acute care beds, 35 Skilled Nursing/Intermediate Care beds, a Level IV Trauma Emergency Department, five Rural Health Clinics, specialty clinics, and comprehensive outpatient services. This position provides direct clinical support to our Rural Health Clinic providers while helping deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced outpatient environment. Position Summary The LPN/CMA is responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to physicians, advanced practice providers, and patients within the Rural Health Clinics. Responsibilities include patient intake, clinical procedures, medication administration (within scope of practice), documentation, patient education, care coordination, and assisting with the daily operations of the clinic. While this position is assigned to our Walton Medical Clinic, employees may be asked to travel to other Roane General Hospital Rural Health Clinic locations to assist with staffing coverage, patient access, provider schedules, or operational needs.

Qualifications Applicants must possess:

Current West Virginia Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification Current CPR/BLS certification Previous experience in a primary care or specialty outpatient clinic preferred Strong computer and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and patient-centered care Ability to travel between Rural Health Clinic locations as needed Why Join Roane General Hospital?
