Core Duties:
Assisted residents with daily personal hygiene, including oral care, bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, nail care, dressing changes, and changing soiled undergarments while following infection control procedures. Provided compassionate caregiver support by encouraging independence and communicating effectively with elderly residents experiencing mood or memory challenges. Escorted residents to local and out-of-town appointments, drove facility van/bus, transported wheelchairs, and assisted with hydraulic lift transfers. Assisted physicians during resident examinations when required. Supported residents with toileting, transfers, positioning, mobility, and assisted ambulation using wheelchairs, walkers, and canes. Repositioned residents at least every two hours to ensure comfort and prevent complications. Measured and documented vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration. Assisted residents with meal setup, feeding, specialized eating techniques, nourishment between meals, and post-meal hygiene. Maintained clean, safe, and organized resident living areas by making beds, handling laundry, cleaning mobility equipment, and organizing personal belongings. Applied prescribed safety devices such as side rails, braces, and splints. Trained and supervised newly hired aides while supporting team workflow and additional assignments. Responded to emergencies by performing CPR, the Heimlich maneuver, basic first aid, and resident evacuation procedures, and documented all care provided.Minimum Qualifications:
