What You Will Do As the Director of Assisted Living, you will oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of our Assisted Living community while ensuring exceptional resident care, regulatory compliance, and staff leadership.
Responsibilities include:
Ensure resident care is delivered in accordance with all applicable state and federal regulations, community policies, and standards of practice. Participate in pre-admission assessments for prospective residents. Complete admission, monthly, quarterly, and change-in-condition resident assessments. Develop, review, and update individualized resident care plans. Monitor residents for changes in physical, mental, or psychosocial condition and ensure appropriate interventions are implemented. Assist residents with scheduling medical, dental, and laboratory appointments as needed. Ensure compliance with all personnel policies, community procedures, and regulatory requirements. Lead, mentor, and develop nursing and caregiving staff through coaching, training, and performance management. Participate in staff education and ongoing professional development initiatives. Ensure all staff understand and follow Fire Safety and Disaster Preparedness procedures during drills and emergencies. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure timely completion of required records. Maintain dependable attendance and flexibility to meet the needs of the community. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director. Leadership Responsibilities This position reports directly to the Executive Director and operates with a high level of independence and professional judgment.
Responsibilities include:
Supervising Assisted Living nursing and caregiving staff. Conducting coaching, performance evaluations, and corrective action. Assisting with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and staff development. Promoting a positive, resident-centered culture throughout the community. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess: Current LPN license in the State of Alabama (required). Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in Assisted Living, Long-Term Care, or Senior Living. Strong knowledge of state regulations governing Assisted Living communities. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, reach overhead, and perform fine motor tasks throughout the workday.
