Position Summary We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and compassionate Assisted Living Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Assisted Living community. This leadership position is responsible for ensuring exceptional resident care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience in assisted living and memory care who thrives in a fast-paced environment, builds high-performing teams, and is committed to creating an exceptional experience for residents, families, and staff. Primary Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the Assisted Living community. Lead, mentor, and supervise caregivers, medication technicians, and department leaders. Ensure delivery of high-quality, individualized resident care that promotes dignity, independence, privacy, and choice. Oversee resident admissions, assessments, move-ins, transfers, and discharges. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized service plans based on resident needs. Ensure medication management processes comply with Arizona regulations and company standards. Maintain compliance with all Arizona Assisted Living regulations and company policies. Ensure staffing levels appropriately meet resident care needs while managing labor effectively. Recruit, hire, coach, develop, and evaluate department staff. Foster a positive culture of accountability, teamwork, and exceptional customer service. Oversee state-required staff training, continuing education, emergency drills, and competency evaluations. Partner with nursing, activities, dining, housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure seamless resident care. Monitor quality assurance initiatives, investigate incidents, and implement corrective action when necessary. Maintain accurate resident records, reports, and regulatory documentation using electronic health record systems. Participate in budgeting, financial management, labor management, and resource planning. Respond professionally to resident, family, physician, and regulatory concerns. Develop and update policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state regulations and best practices. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Required Current Arizona Assisted Living Manager Certificate Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card Current CPR and First Aid Certification Valid driver's license with reliable transportation Preferred Minimum of two years of Assisted Living leadership or management experience. Experience managing Memory Care and Behavioral Health programs. Strong knowledge of Arizona Assisted Living regulations. Experience with electronic health record (EHR/eMAR) systems. Experience with budgeting, staffing, scheduling, and operational management. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Demonstrated leadership experience managing healthcare teams. Strong understanding of assisted living, long-term care, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and behavioral health. Knowledge of medication administration standards and resident service planning. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with residents, families, physicians, and staff. Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining regulatory compliance. Financial acumen including budgeting, labor management, and resource allocation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and healthcare documentation systems. Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care.
