Job Responsibilities:
Participate in a structured training program designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the responsibilities and functions of a Nursing Home Administrator. Learn about the regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures governing nursing home operations. Shadow experienced administrators to gain insights into the day-to-day operations of a nursing home facility, including resident care, staff management, financial management, and compliance with regulatory standards. Assist in overseeing the delivery of high-quality care to residents by collaborating with healthcare professionals, monitoring care plans, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Staff Management:
Learn to recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff members, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and fostering a positive work environment. Financial Management; including budgeting, billing, insurance, and reimbursement processes, and work closely with the finance department to ensure efficient financial management. Develop effective working relationships with various departments, such as nursing, dietary, housekeeping, and activities, to ensure seamless operations and resident satisfaction. Stay updated on federal, state, and local regulations, and work towards maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Communication and Leadership:
Develop strong communication and leadership skills to effectively interact with residents, staff, families, and community stakeholders. Job duties may vary and evolve based on the specific needs of the organization.
