Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Alternate Administrator to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital leadership role, you will serve as the acting administrator in the absence of the primary facility leader, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional resident care. Your expertise in long-term care, nursing home administration, and senior living facility management will drive the success of our care community. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence quality standards, uphold residents' rights, and foster a compassionate environment that promotes dignity and independence for all residents. Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the care facility, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to long-term care and assisted living services. Lead and supervise care teams, including nursing staff, caregivers, and administrative personnel, promoting a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans for residents with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other memory impairments, ensuring personalized attention and safety. Manage financial aspects of the facility such as budgeting, financial management, and healthcare financial oversight to maintain operational efficiency. Ensure medication administration protocols are followed accurately and safely in accordance with healthcare policies. Uphold residents' rights by fostering a respectful atmosphere that emphasizes dignity, autonomy, and quality of life. Maintain comprehensive documentation using Microsoft Office tools for reports, care plans, incident logs, and regulatory compliance records. Stay current on long-term care regulations and health policy updates to ensure ongoing adherence and best practices in facility management. Qualifications Proven experience in nursing home or senior care management with a strong background in long-term care regulations and assisted living environments. Extensive knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care strategies, and resident's rights protections. Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in healthcare or residential care settings; ability to manage teams effectively. Familiarity with healthcare financial management including budgeting and financial acumen necessary for operational oversight. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes. Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities services is highly desirable. Knowledge of medication administration procedures within a healthcare setting; experience managing care facility operations is essential. Strong understanding of health regulation policies governing long-term care facilities; experience working within regulatory frameworks is preferred.
